Why is starbucks grande coffee more expensive per ounce than the tall?!

Question: Why is starbucks grande coffee more expensive per ounce than the tall?
it has always been the case that the bigger cup holds more value, but now I have been noticing that this is no longer the case. I tried contacting Starbucks but have not gotten a straight answer. Anybody know the real reason. No guesses please. Thanks!!

It increases their profit, and most people don't do the math.

It's not more expensive per ounce. I just did the math.

Short coffee: $1.74/8oz=$0.2175/oz
Tall coffee: $1.96/12 oz = $0.1633/oz
Grande coffee: $2.18/16oz = $0.13625/oz
Venti coffee: $2.52/20oz = $0.126/oz

Looking at the figures above, short is the most expensive and Venti is the cheapest per ounce. Tall is more expensive than Grande.

I work at Starbucks
