Why does the soda taste different at food restaurant then regular 2 liters?!


Question: Why does the soda taste different at food restaurant then regular 2 liters?
I seriously want to know!
Never got a chance why it taste different!

Excellent question.
The preservative added is different. The one that they use in cans is cheaper but can not be added to restaurant machines because they use copper tubing which the bottled preservative corrodes.

Okay, there are a number of factors to consider:
-The soda you get in a restaurant comes in glasses with ice, the ice can melt and dilute the soda.
-The soda you get in a restaurant is mixed in a machine with the carbonated water and flavoring syrup stored separately, each machine is going to slightly vary in the ratio of carbonated water to flavoring syrup.



yeah it does, it taste different/better out of the machines at restaurants due to their being more water added to it than regular bottles



its two liquids that get mixed as it leaves the machine. syrup tasting stuff and carbonated water. where as the 2 litre is pre-mixed
