i left my milk OUTSIDE the fridge for 11hours. can i drink it?!

Question: I left my milk OUTSIDE the fridge for 11hours. can i drink it?
during the time it was outside, it was between 11 to 16 degree Celsius.

Answers:

According to the health department, a potentially hazardous food product (like milk) should not be left out at room temperature for longer than 4 hours. Bacteria grows at exponential rates at this temperature.

And, just so you know, smell is no indication that food is contaminated. Botulism, which is a deadly form of food poisoning, is caused by a toxin secreted by a certain type of bacteria. The food does not smell bad or taste bad. This is why people die from it because they can not smell or taste it. Granted, contaminated milk does not contain this type of bacteria and you will probably not die if you drink it, but you could get a serious case of the runs (which is avoidable).

OMG.
Yes it should be fine.

All the "I wouldn't chance it".
What can happen if it were sour?
NOTHING!!
Taste it.
Usually milk lasts 24 or more hours out of the fridge depending on the outside temp.
Slightly soured milk is also fine if you can stand the taste.
I can ( but that's the business I'm in).

Ever hear of "Sour" cream?

Cheese-maker/importer

Well, you technically can drink it. You might want to smell it first, and if it smells okay, pour some in a small glass and taste it. If it tastes alright, then you fine to drink it.

Remember, cheese, sour cream and butter is all milk that's gone bad.

I don't really know, but if I was you I would smell the milk before drinking. If it smells weird and horrible, I think it's best to leave it otherwise drink and enjoy!

My common sense!

try smell it first if smells good try pour a sip and see if consistency is smooth and wet or just chunky. if chunky dont drink it.

Make a Yorkshire Pudding with it and ditch the surplus.

don't risk getting sick over a few dollars worth of milk. rotten milk is nasty.

i wouldnt!eww!

Nope.

Sure. Spell it First !!!

um taste a little bit if it tastes fine the id say go for it lol

I wouldn't take that chance.

I'd be nervous and wouldn't chance it.
