Soda drink spin offs?!
On some TV networks(Mainly nickelodeon) there have been many spin off or parody names off of popular soda brands except for root beer. How come?

Root beer is the name of the type of soda, not a brand name. Mug and A&W are two brands of root beer...but they don't really lend themselves to a funny or recognizable joke brand.
