Is it legal to import drink beverages from overseas?!

Question: Is it legal to import drink beverages from overseas?
I'm a big fan of energy drinks, but in Australia there is not much variety to choose from. Would it be legal to import energy drinks from the United States over here? It's just that I'm not aware of food/drink regulations when purchasing overseas.

NOTE: Please don't comment your opinion's/views on energy drinks or give me a 2 page lecture on how i should not drink them, i enjoy these drinks very much so and just want an answer =). Thankyou!

If there's alcohol in it then it falls into a different category then a typical soda. That requires a special( and hard to get) license.
If there's no alcohol, customs should let it pass through.
But different countries have different laws and it would be easy for you to find out.
Just call customs in Australia.

Importer (Italian products).

As long there's no alcohol in it ur good to go

well all i can say is you have to be a license holder for that.
