I have no sense of taste, and I do not like soda. Do I only taste the fizz?!
I have no sense of taste, but I can taste stuff like fizz, and spiciness. And I do not like soda. Do I only taste the fizz, and most people taste other than fizz in soda. If so, I think that would be the reason I do not like soda.

Actually, you probably are not tasting fizz. You just FEEL the effects of the carbonated water on your tongue. This is the reason why some people, including myself, do not like certain foods. We find the texture unpleasant, even though it may taste just fine to others.
You probably just do not like carbonation on your tongue, regardless of the flavor. According to many, it is better for you to not drink pop any ways.
