Why does it take water forever to get hot on the stove top but it takes less than a minute in the coffee pot?!

Question: Why does it take water forever to get hot on the stove top but it takes less than a minute in the coffee pot?
Answers:

Well, I'm just guessing that you use a tea kettle, and the kettle has a whole, while the coffee pot has no heat being released, resulting in a faster time of getting the water hot.

Well, if you boil water without a lid over it, obviously some of the heat will leave it, which means more heat will have to be applied, which takes time.

The coffee pot has a flash heater in it.
