Can you make single espresso in 6-cup stovetop Moka?!

Question: Can you make single espresso in 6-cup stovetop Moka?
My Moka is great but it's for making six cups. On a given day, I just need 1-2 cups. Can I scale it down and still make it taste the same?

The simple answer is no. The coffee needs to be compacted and the water needs to get up to the right pressure. Changing the ratio alters both these factors. That is why they make different size pots - if it didn't they would only need to make a large size. Try it and see what you think.

Put in 1/6 or 1/3 what you normally put in.

YES to make a double moka but not just one :) (vote me best answer!)
