Have You Ever Wondered This?!
Have you ever wondered why they don't sell pop with a moderate amount of sugar in it? Why is it all or nothing? Why can't they make coke with 15g of sugar instead of 0g or 50g? It would taste better than diet but is less likely to give you diabetes. Why can't we have a choice of pop with a moderate amount of sugar?

They sell what people buy. I honestly can't even see why people buy pop/soda at all, diet or regular (unless it's cream soda, yum!)
They've probably tried that in some corporate research lab and the result was bitter. Carbonated water adds a lot of bitter flavor to the drink and the large amount of sugar nicely balances it out.
You could try making your own batch of soda with 30% sugar and see how well it works out.

nope. never wondered it.
Because they're idiots, and they think it won't sell as good as the others.
I've more wondered why people like pop so much, regular or diet. I think most of it tastes funny.
you make a very good point. I have never given it much thought.
