Why can't we use other leaves to brew beverages?!

Question: Why can't we use other leaves to brew beverages?
Tea is world's most consumed beverage. Why couldn't we brew the leaves of some other flora and make another beverage? Why just the leaves of the tea bush?

Answers:

??????

Lots of other types of leaves or other plant parts are used for infused beverages, such as mint, sassafras, chamomile, etc. Not limited to the leaves of camelia sinensis.

Because, not all of the leaves on trees are edible. Some are, such as the ones already mentioned. But most of them aren't. You can't make tea out of Poison Ivy or Poison Oak. The same reason you can't make orange juice out of bananas. There just isn't enough resources.

Ya don't need to know! I got my sources.

But you can! Apart from the ones already mentioned, nettle tea is very refreshing.

you can
there is mint teas
chamomile tea
and many others, made from other herbs and spices

you can..... but the purpose lies n your want......

some use mint leaves.
