Why do milk dispensers have big handles?!

Question: Why do milk dispensers have big handles?
At places with a continental breakfast or a buffet, the milk and chocolate milk dispensers always have these big metal handles. Why is it like that and not just a simple button or smaller handle?

-Because They're often Used by "Little Hands". And little hands do better with a larger "grip". ;)

The reason for the big handles is to act as a weight for for the despenser...This milk is contained in a plastic bag...with a tiny hose or nipple from where the milk comes out...When closed, a metal piece pinches the nipple shut...If there is not enough tention on the nipple...milk will leak out....The heavy handle ensures that there is enough weight to keep pressure on the nipple and closed tight.... Because milk is nasty coming out of a machine. I think that it just makes it easier to pour and to handle. But I know what you are saying.
