Question: Do you call it "pop", "soda", or something else?

Went to Houston, Tex. back in 69, stopped at a local supermarket, and asked where I could find the Pop. Clerk didn't know what I was talking about. I said, Pop, you know, Soda, Coke?? Oh he replied, you mean Soda Water. Aisle 5 Ma'm.



In South Africa it's called a "cooldrink" pronounced as one word

I'm from Texas and here we call EVERYTHING....."Coke".

If you order a "coke" people ask you, "What flavor?"



It is mostly called soda in Delaware, where I live, but I have heard some older people call is pop as well.
