Question: Is it true that using hot water to make formula milk is not good?
My wife told me that using hot water to make formula milk is not good cause it would evaporated all the vitamins. Is it true?

Answers:

Best to ask your Dr. for an "educated answer" but I would use spring water, microwave 30 sec to get warm and then put the powder in. If we were going out I would microwave it longer so it was super hot but warm when I was ready to make the bottle some time later. I did it and now he is 8 & just fine. I would check to see what the Dr. says if your wife is uncomfortable with it! Congrats on your baby!!

Start with cold. Always start with cold water.

Hot water from your tap may contain small amounts of lead. Not good to drink at all. Start with a bottle of cold water and formula, and warm it by placing in a pan of hot water.
