What food do you find to be the most addictive?!

Question: What food do you find to be the most addictive?
Consider individual food items, or entire restaurant menus. How badly do you crave it? And why do you think that is? Do you suspect any kind of sinister conspiracy at work driving your mad cravings?

Thats a type of potato chip for those not in the know. A friend of my sister's recently told me that she always thinks of me when she sees them, because they're my "thing". I clearly need a better "thing".

Usually I eat a pack a day, but the thing is I always like to have a spare pack, in case they're sold out, or if I don't have class on campus because the shop at the bottom of my building doesn't have them. So I often buy 2 at a time.

They taste so good, are nice and thick but crunchy not hard and they are ring shaped, so I usually stick my tongue in the middle first to make sure I get all the taste!

Last year they reduced the saturated fat in them or something and it changed the taste. I bought up the last ten "old" packs in the main shop on campus! I've gotten used to it now, they adjusted the taste again to give it more flavour.

And there's the conspiracy. Some packs have a way stronger taste than others. Its like the cigarette companys make 1 ciggarette in every 20/30/something stronger, to make sure you get a great hit once in a while? Some days you get a packet that is so salty and vinegary your tongue is numb after eating them. And then I have to keep going and eat the second pack in my backpack!

I'm truly addicted to coffee, if I don't get a cup of caffeine-containing coffee in the morning I'm getting withdrawal symptoms (a sickening headache) by 9 am.

However as far as cravings go, I am sadly addicted to Gingernut Ice Cream. I do really, really crave it for dessert, every night, which is madness as it is comprised of fat and sugar and deliciousness only. I love the luscious texture (all that creamy milk fat), the sweetness, offset by the zing of ginger, the contrast textures of gingernut biscuit (cookie), root ginger and ice cream. It's just too, too utterly divine.

I don't think they're putting crack cocaine into it (it's not that expensive) and I see that it has been suggested that ginger may even be a treatment for addiction, so I can't blame it. I think that it's just that I have good caveman-type neural wiring so that fat and sugar induce pleasure. And lots of them induce lots of pleasure .... I'm a greedy piggy. But a happy one!

I like the bad stuff (sweet, rich junk) as much as anybody, but I couldn't go a week without bread, preferably whole grain.
