Well, in addition to the standard "English/Irish Breakfast Tea" blends of black teas, or even the Earl Grey varieties, there are so many more types of tea that are good for drinking in the morning. I would personally recommend a more high quality black or pu-erh tea if you are looking for a stronger flavor with a heavier body and more caffeine. You might also want to try an oolong that is at the higher end of the oxidation level, where it is close to being a black tea. However, if you want a lighter tea with less caffeine, you could really try any of the other three classes of tea: white, green, and oolong. Remember that just because you don't like one particular kind of green tea, it doesn't mean that you won't like another. (the reason that you didn't like it was probably because you prepared it improperly anyway) There are two major classes of green teas - types from China, and types from Japan. They are completely different in terms of style, terroir, general flavor, and strength. You might want to experiment with many different types of teas to find the kinds that you like best.

My personal favorite tea would probably be a good Tieguanyin oolong of the "Monkey picked" variety. I love the stone-fruit taste and the very fresh, fragrant aroma.

You can explore many choices of teas, including the ones I have mentioned at this website, where they sell for very reasonable prices: http://www.teatrekker.com/main.htm .
