why is it so hard to find sweet tea in the north?!

Question: Why is it so hard to find sweet tea in the north?
I live in northern virginia an the only places I can find sweet tea is Chick Fil A and McDonalds. I am a southern girl so l love my sweet tea. Does anyone else having trouble finding sweet tea in th northern part of the US?

Answers:

Yes. Sweet Tea originated in the south, so it is sold mainly in the south and since them northerners don't like us very much they don't sell our wonderful sweet tea.

there's nothing special about sweet tea - just make it at home. Sweet tea is only tea with the sugar added to the hot water during the brewing, then chilled. McDonald's adn Chik Fil A are just using regular, commercial iced tea.

You nailed it: you're a southern girl. Sweet tea is a southern thing. That IS why you have a hard time finding it in the north!

its better to make it yourself. I've had sweet tea in the south and it wasn't any different than iced tea that I make, just a lot sweeter. they must put tons of sugar in their tea.

Sweet Tea is a southern thing (no sugar plantations up here)

We do Sun tea.

In fact, most often people up North won't know what sweet tea is, let alone how to make it.
