You're supposed to drink a couple courts of water each day. However, a lot of water can come from food. If you drink too much water, you can flush out necessary electrolytes. My advice is to drink water with electrolytes and vitamins such as vitamin water, smoothies, Gatorade, etc. Something that is flavored might quench your thirst more than water.

That does seem to be a lot. I'm not a doctor but I have heard that too much water can basically rinse out valuable vitamins and minerals in your food. I honestly don't know if I believe that but I have read it a couple of times.
I would suggest taking the question to a doctor or dietitian rather than posting it here. You would certainly get a more trustworthy answer.
it depends on what your drinking,alcohol, coffee, dehydrates ....water /gaterade hydrates at your your stature 120 oz. should be plenty, maybe too much, the approved guideline is 64 oz.,However if your drinking 120 oz. of alcohol ,then lets party sometime....wow! just kidding.
