Can you get addicted to a drink?!

Question: Can you get addicted to a drink?
Lately, I have been drinking at least 2-3 Arizona Teas a day and on Friday I didn't have any money with me to buy one and I started getting shaky and wasn't thinking straight, only about how I NEEDED the tea and I was in a really bad mood after that, snapping at everybody. So, is it possible that I have an addiction and the absence caused some thing in my brain? Thanks in advanced(:

You can get addicted to ANYTHING

I haven't done any researches but from experience and common sense, it's a yes. People have tendencies to be addicted to any source of pleasure. Illegal drugs are, let's say, heightened/advanced form of pleasure. On the other hand, small forms of pleasure like drinks and foods are possible ways of addiction.

Please take in mind that the word "addiction" or any variation doesn't only pertain to drugs and the likes but something that a habit to take pleasurable feedback from any materials or abstracts.

Well they say that soda is addicting and I am quite sure liquor is also. Usually though, they don't have that big of a side effect. Although, soda can sometimes make people hyper. Liquor can be worse can be worse though, sometimes people end up to going to rehab because of it. I think don't tea would caused you to do that. Unless you're just extremely thirsty, that wouldn't be the tea though, that would the thirst.

Sometimes companies put chemicals into their products to make you "addicted" to their products as a business incentive e.g. Chips. You are just going through a phase and your body will slowly be able to control the sensation.

Oh yes!! I'm so addicted to coca cola! I can't stop myself from having it. And when I don't have it I get headaches.
