do monster energy drink give you short term memory lost?!

Question: Do monster energy drink give you short term memory lost?
I studied all night for an upcoming exam and I drank a monster energy drink. When it was time to take the exam, I blanked out but I studied so many hours.

Nope, you did not forget everything because of the energy drink. Two things happened here. First was that you may have been crashing due to the drink and that could of caused you to be distracted by a need for more taurine, caffeine, etc. The second is that you decided to cram before a test without studying beforehand. It has been proven that you will lose about 80% of information during a cram session unless you already have the knowledge stored in your head. My advice is keep the monster(cuz they are soo good) but start studying more than hours before a test. If you only have a day to study then do it two nights before the test(its bad to study the night before the test because you'll lose most info but what you looked at last) then the night before the test just skim your study materials so that you have a better chance of remembering everything you went over. Good Luck on the next one!

I don't think so.

You just need a good night's sleep before an exam, otherwise your brain is just too tired to remember anything. So next time don't stay up all night, but rather study in advance. Also, you cannot just study in huge chunks, you need to take regular breaks to let the new information sink in, and there is only so much knowledge that you can consume in a day.

University graduate.
