how much salt is in a 12 oz. can of RC?!

Question: How much salt is in a 12 oz. can of RC?
how much salt is in a can of Rc , it says 40 mg how many teaspoons or grains of salt would this be?

Answers:

To clarify, Sodium is not Salt. Salt is Sodium Chloride. Many foods contain sodium. RC cola contains:

Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, caramel color, phosphoric acid, caffeine, natural flavors, gum acacia, citric acid

While RC cola does not contain salt, IF the sodium in RC cola was derived from salt, a quarter teaspoon (1.5 g) is 590 mg of sodium. So:

40/590x0.25 = 0.016... (or about 1/32nd of a teaspoon)
or
40/590x1.5 = 0.10 Grams
