drink it at the back of the bus where no one can see
unless the bus driver is looking through all your possession to insure your not bringing hot chocolate on the bus it shouldn't be that difficult.
Do you have a regular driver?
If so why not just ask in advance if you can leave it up the front of the bus in a sealed container (so it doesn't leak) until it's time to hop off?
Sneaking prohibited substances onto a bus is a surefire way to get you into trouble!
If you are open about it and get prior approval, most drivers will let you take stuff onto the bus that they would otherwise tell you to discard before boarding.
I would NOT recommend it if you are planning to drink it on the bus. if you spill it it STINKS! It's also impossible to clean up!
Food and drinks are banned on buses because kids make a mess with them- messes that the drivers have to clean up and are NOT paid to clean up! Do YOU like sitting on a seat that has had coffee spilt all over it? I certainly don't!
Put it in a lunch box
Don't open it on the bus.
Do you have a backpack? Just use it to stuff the food in.
