Wash it with Dish washing liquid. Do not use a cloth, and make sure the water is not to hot. Shake the water of and use a very soft cloth to dry it. It should work...

Also try and clean you lens for your CD ROM. That might also help!

I second Ewald on the idea to wash it with dishwash soap (the liquid type), that is how I got many of my cd's to work again. Make sure to clean the cd drive as it could also be sticky since you didn't wash the cd before putting it in. If all else fails take it to a pc store, usally the can recover the data.

Aw, fxck. That sucks because Sims games are awesome.
I'm addicted to Sims and Coke (not cocaine, lol).
