bad...really bad. It is artificially produced made from ingredients that don't belong in our bodies and have the distinct possibility of causing cancer.
Many people consider aspartame to be a poison with detrimental effects on brains, especially. It was developed by a pharmaceutical laboratory and is used in many medications plus is marketed as Equal and NutraSweet, and put into diet sodas and many other foods. Buyer beware!
