Does my water filter need to be changed?!
If the water coming out of my filter jug tastes funny, does that mean the filter needs to be changed?

Most water filters use carbon for filtration of chlorine and need to be changed every 3 months, 6 months or a year depending on the type. It is important to replace your filter when specified because it can grow bacteria and drinking the water can be harmful. A funny taste may or may not be harmful, but replacing the filter is what you should do.
