Question: Kiddie cocktail/shirley temples drink ingredients?

i was at a party and they served kiddie cocktails. but they didn't use grenadine. i think they used maraschino cherry juice and it tasted really good.

does anybody make it without grenadine?

sprite or 7UP & cherry juice -toss in a couple of cherries.
