Lay down with your mouth open in a rain storm.
Catch the rain draining off of large flat or almost flat surfaces (like a roof) into a barrel. Filter the water. Some places in the world get a lot of their drinking water this way.
On a boat without any water then you might stretch some sail material out in the rain with the bottom edge formed into a troth. Throw off the first couple fill-ups to remove salt spray on the sail. Fill buckets, etc.
Never drink more than a couple drops directly from the sky. If you want to drink it for some odd unknown reason boil it first
Open your mouth when it's raining, close your eyes and look upwards!
if you want lots then put a cup outside or just stick your tung out
