What are the bubbles that build up on top and bottom and on the sides of soda like Sprite and Coke and Fanta and the rest?

Carbon dioxide dissolved in water, when you open the can, due to the decrease in pressure, the solubility of CO2 drops dramatically. As a result they will escape into the environment as bubbles.



They are little baby fish eggs from an ancient species found deep in the Arctic sea. They were discovered for their alluring flavor and texture on the tongue. The eggs are killed off once the product is opened. They are only eggs, so you aren't killing anything. But if you are vegan, you might want to avoid it.



I don't know but if you've shaken or dropped your soda and don't want for it to explode when you open it, tap the top of it with two or three of your fingers first.
