It probably is a stupid question but if you ask me anything about different types of coffees, i would look at you like your crazy. I know nothing about coffee expect you can go to starbucks and buy one! I really need to know, my friend want's a Frappuccino machine/maker for christmas and i really want to buy her one, she's such a great friend. But the coffee maker i'm looking at Mr. Coffee Frappe maker... i'm not sure. Like i said...i'm so stupid when it comes to coffee!

Well, depends who you ask :P
Here, where I live a "frappe" is basically a smoothie, where a "frappuccino" is a frothy coffee :)

No - they are different.

"Frappe" is what they call a milkshake in some countries in Europe - and in some Eastern US states. It is pronounced "frap" Any milkshake can rightly be called a frappe.

"Frappuccino" is a trademarked name for a type of milkshake made with espresso as a flavoring agent. Generally their is no real ice cream in a frappucino or other copy-cat drinks.

Yes Frappe is a short name for Frappuccino

Starbuck Uses Frappuccino
McDonald Uses Frappe
