Does anyone know how teabags are made and where to buy the material to make our own?!

Question: Does anyone know how teabags are made and where to buy the material to make our own?
I'm considering trying to develop a new type of teabag to make tea making more efficient. I've noticed that Lipton's bag has been around for awhile now. I think it's time we design a new teabag. I got some ideas in mind, does anybody have any good suggestions?

Answers:

There are already metal tea balls as well as spoons to put in loose tea leaves. With cheap imports from China or else where, do you honestly think you can make a "new tea bag" cheaper? By the way, at my local japanese store. They sell readily available tea bags (more like a filter) that you can fill it with your own choice of tea leaves.

It has been done already - round ones, square ones, silk ones, pyramid ones are the craziest and really expensive too. Liptons isn't the only game in town, check out Murchies, Tetley, Red Rose, Robertsons, Yorkshire, etc.and go into any tea shop and look at the ones they have there.
