Coffee makes me nauseous?!

Question: Coffee makes me nauseous?
I am a teen and I just started to drink coffee because I need the caffeine! When I drink cofee, I feel nauseous from the taste and don't seem to really enjoy it. I love the pick-me-up it gives, so I will continue drinking it. Is this nauseous coffee reaction just my body not being used to the taste. Has this happened to you and will it go away after a period of time?

Cut down on the coffee

If your drinking canned pre-ground coffee then your drinking rancid oils....Nausea would be expected...
Buy fresh ground coffee, or roast your own to be sure it's fresh.
Remember, coffee like other natural products contain natural occurring oils. They do go rancid over time and if you are purchasing canned and even some whole bean coffees you are buying a product that has been in the 'system' for weeks and more likely months....

It's part of the reason some people add milk or cream, to buffer the acid.

If you like to drink it on an empty stomach and you don't want to add milk, drink the milk first. If you don't drink milk, try eating or drinking something else that's non-acidic beforehand.

Don't drink straight coffee, that WILL taste terrible. Add creamer or milk.
