Yes, tea is brown and it stains.
Haha, no, not always. Your tongue may change color after you eat certain foods, or drink certain drinks, especially later in the day. This is merely because your mouth starts to dry more, and catches some of the materials. It'll go away when you brush, as I'm sure you do.
