Cappuccino maker, help!?!

My boyfriend has been thinking about getting a cappuccino maker/machine and his birthday just happens to be next week. I personally don't drink anything along the lines of coffee(haha) so I have no idea where to start. I'm looking for one that's inexpensive and one that produces foam??? He likes the foam on the top of the cappuccino when it comes out of the machine. Are they fairly easy to use, any advice from anyone would be great.

And maybe I should mention that I'm a stay at home mom with a 13 month old, and my boyfriend does everything he can for us. I want to do something nice/special for him because he deserves it. I know he will be pleased with this, I just need a little help. Thanks guys :)
