Where to get at least 20 year old Pu-erh tea in the USA (preferably close to Albany, NY)?!
Hi!
I like to drink various Chinese teas and my favorite are old Pu-erhs. I can't imagine my life without this tea :D
At the current moment I live in Kiev, Ukraine and here we have a nice tea shop which offers a lot of teas of all kinds, including old Pu-erhs. Next year I am moving into the USA so I decided to find the shop where I'll be buying teas. I was able to find similar shops in the US, however to my surprise none of them has old Pu-erhs. The only thing I found is
https://www.sevencups.com/tea_shop/produ…
That is almost what I am looking for but still I don't understand why it's only a single item. Such a shop should have like at least 5-10 various old Pu-erhs.
So where do you buy old pu-erhs? I would prefer a local store where I can check and taste them before buying however internet store would be fine. Also it will be good if the store is not a random reseller but a knowledgeable group of people who actually know what they are selling.
Also on a side note, may be you know a nice place near Albany, NY where I can have a cup of tea. Not some mcdonalds with generic black and generic green tea but a place where they give you a menu which has dozens of teas with mysterious names like "Dragon Well", "Bi Lo Chun", "Silver Needles", etc :)
It's quite surprising because USA is such a huge, diverse and developed country, I was expecting to find numerous shops so I am bit puzzled.
