How can I spice up my morning cup of tea?!

Question: How can I spice up my morning cup of tea?
I usually drink 1 1/2 - 2 mugs of my green tea in the morning. It's China Jasmine. It helps me wake up, and it's yummy. (:

Of course, morning after morning of the same tea with 2 1/2 teaspoons of sugar is growing old on my taste buds. How can I add some pizzaz to it so that it doesn't grow old?

Answers:

Try different types of green tea. I run a tea website and it lists literally hundreds of different green teas, more if you count flavored and scented teas like Jasmine green tea. You can try Chinese vs. Japanese teas, roasted green tea, green tea made from stems, smoked green teas, teas from different regions of China (they really do taste different):

Just a few ideas. It might be hard to find all of these unless you want to order online, but I think the best way to spice things up is to start sampling different types of teas. Green tea is incredibly diverse! You never need to get bored with it!

Have you tried another flavor of tea, like maybe Earl Grey or Chai? Earl Grey is very bitter but very fragrant (my fave drink in the morning). Chai is spicier, almost like drinking black tea with cinnamon or cayenne pepper poured in.

add a teaspoon of honey, makes it taste nice and sweet
you can also add a drop or two of lemon juice to make it lemony

Try some another flavors and try adding little lemon drops.

Maybe a cinnamon stick or some pepper corns.

A shot of Whiskey or Rum should do the trick.
