Is black tea bad for you?!

Question: Is black tea bad for you?
I drink 6-8 cups per day of Twinings brand black tea. Is this bad? Caffeine dosent affect me, but I was just wondering about the health effects of tea. Thanks!

Answers:

Black tea is very good for you. Among its health benefits are the following:

- may help fight cancer
- may help fight arterial blockages that lead to cardiovascular ailments
- may help fight inflammation
- may help fight viruses

But like anything, I would limit my intake to about 2 to 3 cups as it has caffeine and some content of oxalates.

There's actually a lot of antioxidants in black tea, which is awesome! They can potentially prevent cancer. You're actually recommended to drink that much! Well, besides the caffeine that normally gets to people. Although if you drink it with milk, I hear that it reduces those effects some.. But it is still really good.

The caffeine may not affect your behaviour, but it does work as a diuretic and WILL dehydrate you and make your kidneys work super hard, so I'd still drink plenty of water.

Tea has health benefits. The only disadvantage it can stain your teeth. The bad part is what you put in it. If you drink it black, then you are good. A cup of tea has no calories or fat.
