Supermarkets tend to store unopened soda at room temperature (cans, bottles). Is there a difference in prolonged life, and taste if stored refrigerated or not to manufacturer's suggested expiration date?

it depends; 1) if the soda is closer to the back or to the front. if the soda is closer to the back, you run a risk of it becoming very icy. 2) what type of soda it is. if it's a coke product, that goes flat very fast outside of a fridge. so with coke products, if you drink it, the second you get home you should put it in your fridge. but like i mention in #1 don't put it closer to the back of the fridge. with pepsi products, those don't go flat whether or not they are in the fridge. but you should still not put it so close to the back of the fridge.

not if you don't open it!

Temperature CHANGE releases CO2 from soda as well as movement, etc. One thing you can do to prolong the life of soda is to lay the bottle down so that the soda seals the cap area. Because liquid molecules (soda) are larger than gas molecules (CO2) the gas can't escape through the space between the cap and the bottle!

nah

Not relay it's gust about the same.
