Capuccino Maker?!

Question:

Capuccino Maker?

I received a capuccino maker for Christmas and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong when using the thing. Is there a certain kind of espresso I should be using? Why does my capuccino taste like crap?

Answers:
Are you using a good quality espresso? Assuming you have one of those simple machines (a stovetop one, maybe?), I would suggest Illy Medium Roast Fine (http://store.drsoda.com/illyespresso.htm... ). It's pretty good for this kind of application.

Also, make sure you are using a good quality milk, and that it is at least 2% or whole. Nonfat does not make for a good cappucino, and Soymilk unfortunately can't even make a cappucino at all. 2% Skim actually makes the best foam, so it is most ideal for capps.

Is it an automated kind of machine? I mean, do you just pour in the ingredients and let it work? If so, then I'm sure making sure you have these ingredients will help. If not, then let us know what kind of machine it is so that we can help you figure out where you may be going wrong. Good luck!

I found some instant cappucino drinks at http://www.ciod.info/products.html... where all you have to do is add 2/3 hot water.
