What is "Fair Trade" organic coffee?
Answers:
"Fair Trade" coffee means that the sellers work directly with the coffee bean farmers and not through a middle agent. In this way, the grower gets a "fair" (or decent) price for his product and the consumer gets a decent product without supporting oppressive marketing strategies. So, both the farmer and the comsumer have a "fair trade." Organic means that it has been grown without manufactured pesticides or fertilizers, but non-manufactured pesticides or fertilizers may have been used (such as manure, etc.)
It refers to the corporate philosophy of dealing with bean producers and other related companies that don't support slave labor and practices that are harmful to other people or the environment.
It so huge companies can't **** it up for third world farmers... like my home country of BRasil!!!!!!!!!!! Especilally Brasil.
