About Peanut butter?

Answers:
i love peanut butter ! my favorite is reduced fat jif ! it kina has a taste of it*s own ! really good ! happy new year !

If you're allergic to many foods and read labels you will see differences. The next time you're in the grocery store read on.

Alot of times quality...in some "off brands" you can taste the oil more. I swear by JIF! :)

Make sure you get natural peanut butter. It sound only contain salt and peanuts.

Most brands have hydrogenated oils in them.

some actually have reall penuts in them some is just smooth and no peanuts and others are just falverored

Quality of the flavor. Some brands I have found to be more sweet than other brands. And some of the unknown brands out there are made with cheaper quality ingredients...you can actually taste the oil, and it sometimes tastes pretty bad. For a really high-quality peanut butter, try the stuff in the refrigerated section that has no preservatives. Compare it to what you have in the cupboard right now. I'll bet you can taste the difference. When all else fails, I use JIF - Because "Choosy mothers choose JIF!!" :) Hope this helps!!

The amount of sugar and salt can vary considerably from brand to brand, as well as the type of oils used in manufacturing. Depending on the formula and the means of processing the ingredients, the taste and texture can also be much different between brands.

Some peanut butters are made with a lot of extra sugar or corn syrup, while others are sweetened with honey or artificial sweeteners. 'Natural' peanut butters are usually just that -- peanuts with enough oil to make a spreadable consistency and not much else by way of sweeteners or additives.

As far as texture is concerned, some chunky peanut butters are so loaded down with bits of peanut that I find them almost painful to eat. Yet other brands aren't bad at all. And smooth peanut butter texture can be anything from grainy to very satiny.

No, I'm not a peanut butter connoisseur. I have a diabetic in the family, and consequently, I do a LOT of label reading.

some dont have any fat, others dont have any sugar. And the biggest thing for me is the taste.

There is a difference in the taste of different brands of peanut butter. Some add more sugar, some roast the nuts to a different level of doneness (call it a darker roast). What kind of oil is used may also differ between brands. Some people believe (and there is some scientific evidence) that peanut butter that has not been pre-blended and the oil is kept separated from the peanut butter until you blend it in when you open the jar is more healthy. Of course you have to stir the oil into the peanut butter yourself. Do a taste test yourself and see which brand that is available in your area is the one you prefer.
