How do you get decaf coffee?!

Question:

How do you get decaf coffee?

I mean how do you get the caffine out of the cofee to get decaf coffee?

Answers:
i dont think we(consumers) can do it ourselves. I THINK it has something to do with the roasting process and or growing. May want to check out a coffee site such as Folgers.com or maxwell house website. Can use Yahoo search engine to find them.

Caffeine (and many related compounds) are extracted using organic solvents. Currently the preferred one is ethyl acetate since it is practically harmless.
There are other ways. Check out

The process removes other stuff too, which is why it tastes different.

You can't do it yourself, you have to go out and physically purchase it.

you buy decaffinated coffee right in the can already made for you at your local grocery store. i prefer going to pick n save for my coffee.
