No. It is false.

No....my wifey drinks it by the keg!! Actually I read somewhere that the carbonation actually seems to help some symptoms of PMS and a few other digetive problems.

Carbonation has both benefits and risk to human health. It is known to kill bacteria that may cause infection. You may choose carbonated water if you are traveling in a foreign country to prevent a negative reaction to the country’s bacteria.

According to the article Basic Alcohol Information at

In an article in
“Mindconnection’s Information Connection: How to Have Healthy Skin” at http://www.mindconnection.com/library/he...
we learn that carbonation can break down calcium in the human body, which can be a risk to weak tooth structure and in severe cases lead to osteoporosis.

In her article “Natural Remedies for Heartburn”, Alli Parker explains other risks involving carbonation including esophagus irritation leading to bloating or indigestion.

These last two seem a little alarming and I would think that you would have to drink gallons of carbonated water (club soda) to get the effects they describe. As in everything, moderation is the key. Don't be afraid to enjoy several glasses a day. I seriously doubt it will truly harm you.

everything has a good and bad effect in the same time.

Too much carbonation might do that, but club soda isn't something a person would drink 365 days a year. It's primarily a drink mixer. But unlike wine, it doesn't have alcohol. Here's a recipe using it, incase you're interested or need to make punch for something. Naturally, soda pop has carbonation, but again, it's not day in, day out beverage. These days, people only drink it with lunch all year, but some what more often, in the summer. That's true about me, anyway. People who are vendors at fairs, expect that.
