CAN A PLANT GROW IN SPRITE soda?!

Question:

CAN A PLANT GROW IN SPRITE soda?

Answers:
It won't be able top get the nutrition from Sprite that it needs.

..... I dont know, what I do want to know is why do you ask?

No, it could kill it

I would not think it grow in sprite. Why?

If I were to guess, I would have to say no. There are just too many chemicals and not enough nutrients that the plant needs.

I've never tried it myself, but I wouldn't see why not. I think eventually, it's going to need some soil, but it depends on the plant. I root plants in nothing but plain old water all the time in the summer. So I would think you could do the same in a can of Sprite. Though you will have to keep adding sprite as it evaporates and the plant sucks up the moisture. And I would be sure to add a little fertilizer every now and then to ensure it's getting enought neutrients. Good luck with your project, if that's what it is!! :)

I would say not but just let me say....this has got to be one of the best questions I've read on the boards so far!!!! lol hilarious......also I would say you DON'T need soil because you can grow plants in just a cup of water.

NOPE NOT TO GOOD,

No

please don't try this.

haha...i have to tell you, you may not be able to grow a plant in SPRITE, but it will def. work with COKE. that stuff is great. haha.

no, seriously, the sugar in sprite will absorb and destroy whatever water and nutrients are in the plant, bascially killing it.

in cut flowers sprite & water prolong their life !
