Is there really a difference between drinking regular coke and diet coke?!

Question:

Is there really a difference between drinking regular coke and diet coke?

I mean can you really lose weight from drinking diet coke instead of regular coke?

Answers:
Yes diet coke does not have the calories but it does have the chemicals which are very bad for you long term. Try cutting back on the regular coke (I know, I love my coke) and drinking water (Yuk). Once you get past the, shall we say withdrawals, you should do okay. Treat yourself to the regular coke once or twice a week though, you deserve it, it's the real thing. Fake sugar is bad for you in any form, my mother, a diabetic, almost died from using it, she is very restricted on what she can eat but sweet and low is OK for her in small amounts. Hope this helps.

actually, i think there isn't because even if it says no sugar or zero calories, there still are. if u want, check the nutrition fcts on the side..

Regular coke - massive kilojoules and sugar = more energy for you to burn off than drinking diet coke. If you ask me, don't drink either.

Diet coke does not have sugar.

There's a big difference.

There' are 150 calories in a can of regular coke and one in diet coke. And they are all the worst kind of empty calories, coming from high fructose corn syrup which in excess can give you diabetes.

If you have two cans of regular coke a day, that comes to 2100 calories per week. If you cut that out of your diet and change nothing else, you'll lose about 2/3 lbs per week.

although there are very little or no calories in diet it contains a chemical possibly asputane (i cant remember) that cause cancer, so in the long run its whether you want to die of heart disease, or cancer. nice thought huh?

Yes there is. In regular Coke there is more Sugar that Diet Coke.

Yes, big difference. Regular coke has a lot of sugar. This is bad for your pancreas, waist line, teeth, and stomach. For the same amount of calories, I would really rather have a nice Belgium Lager, lol!
Diet coke- no sugar, but a lot of scary ingredients that "just aren't right" lol
Best thing for your diet and teeth and blood sugar levels- switch to coffee and teas, especially green tea.
A small can of coke every once in a while isn't really going to hurt you, but as usual,"all things in moderation".

Coke has sugar and thus calories. Diet doesn't. They use aspertame, which is linked to cancer. Also studies show that consuming artificial sweetners can cause you to crave more sweets.....
