Why does soda taste better in a can rather than the bottle?!

Question:

Why does soda taste better in a can rather than the bottle?

Answers:
bottles allow light through, which slowly fades the quality and flavor of the soda.

I think that it is the other way around. I think that drinks taste better out of a bottle rather than from a can.

that actually has to do with the time period you were born in....if you ask any older person they would prefer to have in in a glass bottle....me i;m 25 would rather have a can....but you ask these little guys running around they would rather have it in a plastic bottle...i guess it has to do with what you grow up with

both are synthetic materials but aluminum is much different then plastic. plastic has many more chemicals in it that could mix in with the soda(not harming your body of course) and aluminum can also stay cooler better thus keeping the soda from getting too hot or too flat!

no

Glass will never change the taste any metal could depending on the time

i guess its just what you're used to that you like better .. it might not be that it tastes worse maybe just that it tastes different then what you are used to

I think soda in a can tastes more crisper so I do agree with you but I have no idea why. Maybe the bottle is more permeable so the Co2 escapes???????? I have no idea.

Hmmm, I honestly think that soda that comes out of fountains (like at fast food restaurants) tastes the best. Yuuuummmmm, diet pepsi!!!

i think the bottle taste better, the can will sometimes taste just like that a CAN
