How do you make mentos and diet coke bombs/Rockets.?

Answers:
It's a LOT easier than you think:
Step 1 - Buy a two liter bottle of soda (technically anything will do, but traditionalists use Diet Coke) and a tube of Mentos (again, technically Tums and other stuff works, but it's easiest with the Mentos in this case).
Step 2 - Remove the outer sleeve from the Mentos, but leave all the candy still wrapped in the foil tube it comes in.
Step 3 - Open the Diet Coke and drop the whole silver sleeve inside. Quickly screw the cap on tight.
Step 4 - Unscrew the cap slightly until you hear the gas escaping, then violently throw the bottle on the ground.
The orientation of the bottle when you throw it down doesn't matter immensely unless you want it to go in a specific direction. Even if you throw it down sideways, it seems to have a tendancy to end up shooting upward.
Also wear clothes you don't mind getting splashed on! The original experimentors said the only reason they chose Diet Coke was that it wouldn't stain and could be washed out easily!

Get a 2-liter bottle of soda and drop an entire unwrapped roll of Mentos in it all at once.
It's that simple.

get the liter of coke and drop the mentoes in it duh!
simple. put all mentos into the diet coke bottle. shake it like heck and run like hell.
DO NOT drink it as it forms.
OOH OOH! I KNOW! i did this in school! you drop the mentos in the bottle(you need a bottle of soda rather than a can) and watch it explode! its soo cool!!!
take a bunch of mentos and wrap it in tissues alot and then put it in a 2 liter of diet coke then stand back
You need a bottle of diet coke and 2-3 mentos. It helps if you drill a small hole in the lid and drop the mentos in with a string through it. Then you get a longer lasting fountain that goes higher.
