Answers:
Sometimes when I have strep, I see them on my tonsils from infection, and they can come off at times when you eat, cough etc. This may be what they are. Hope this helps.

sounds icky. go to the doctor!!!

Ahem....

dont worry...there is nothing wrong with you. its called flem. its little food particles that come back up from your stomach:it like throwing up little by little. that explains the bad smell.

what...that sounds strange uh go to dr. do you feel ok ? maybe gargle with warm salt water . good luck with that

I know exactly what ur talkin about...i get those sumtimez too..i dunno what it is either tho!!! I hope u find the answer cause I wanna kno!!

Plaque

i had the same thing happen. it is infection from your tonsils. you need to go see an ENT to have them removed. i haven't had it happen again since i got mine out.

It's food particles that get stuck in the back of your throat, they stay there for awhile (long enough to really start to smell) then they dislodged themselves. Nothing to worry about, but yeah they smell like ***!!

My sisters get these a lot. They're called tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones - basically they're calcareous forms off your tonsils. Wikipedia says they are formed from one or more of the following

* food particles
* dead white blood cells (a.k.a. "leukocytes")
* oral bacteria, possibly from mouth breathing
* overactive salivary glands

They're harmless but annoying, and you can remove them by coughing them up or poking them off your tonsils. Gargling salt water helps prevent them.

Wikipedia's got a good article on them - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/tonsillolit...

EWE ! SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO GO TO A DOCTOR OR A DENTIST. THIS CAN'T BE NORMAL. IT MIGHT BE FLEM OR IT COULD BE A SERIOUS GUM DISEASE. EITHER WAY YOU NEED TO HAVE A DOCTOR DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. AND DON'T BE EMBARRASSED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR, I MEAN IF SOMEONE CAN GET RID OF THIS, THEN HOORAH! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SEE A DOCTOR HON.

what all of these ppl said dont worry about it its nothin bad its practically normal

Does it happen when you are sick? I am just coming off of a bad cold and I cough up the same thing, but it is not good if you have not been sick lately. Do you smoke? It could be coming from that. It is not bad though, pretty common if you smoke or have been sick.

you need to go see a doctor. now.

never heard of it ! maybe you need to go to the doctor !

go to the doctors

That's funny you ask, I work with a Pediatrician and a patient's dad asked about them not too long ago. He called them tonsil beads (or balls). Some people get them while others don't when they're sick. Nothing to worry about
