Does tea keep ok if you put it in a thermos for a few hours?
Answers:
I usually find that black sugarless tea keeps well in a flask but add milk and it starts to smell a bit funny after a while. I would brew the tea and keep it in the flask with the milk kept in a seperate container (an empty used water bottle is good).
Hope this helps.
Yes it should be fine for a couple of hours - never as nice a fresh tea though.
yes it will be fine. just don'e drink it the next day. it will be cold and yucky by then.
Best thing is to just put boiling water in your flask and when you want a drink, just pour onto a teabag. Otherwise the milk in the tea will give a sour smell to your flask.
yes, but only for a few hours. Once it's about 5-7 hours old, you won't want it anymore!
coffee keeps better in a thermos. i think tea tastes a bit funny when its been in a flask. make sure you store your flask without the lid on and that will stop it smelling funny and making the tea taste funnier that it would anyway x
should last bout 5-6 hours in flask. then start gradually cooling
Yes, it does. You can also put in the thermos boiling water and add the tea whenever you need to have it, (boiling water can be maintained at a high temperature in a thermos for at least two hours).
Yes it does.!!!
Yes Tea should be no problem
Tea could actually probably sit out for a day or so before it got bad. So in a thermos it should last a long time.
it will keep ok but keep your milk and sugar separate
yes
yeh just keep it in a sealed room
yes
Yes .If you put the lid tight ,its nothing will happend to it.
It will be fine for a few hours, just dont put it in after a pongy soup coz it may taint the flavour even if you have washed it out well
Yes it does, in the the thermos I take to work my peppermint tea keep hot for 2 hours and then luke water for 3 hours, which is good. Peppermint tea which has no milk in stays hot for up to 3 hours and luke warm for 4.
However in Argos my friend brought a thermos flask that keeps tea hot for up to 12 hours, and luke warm for a long period of time, its brilliant it cost her about £20
In short - yes! Tea will be absolutley fine in a flask for a few hours, I do this almost every day. However, it does not smell/taste quite the same as a fresh cup. A guy I work with brings a flask of hot water then makes his tea fresh throughout the day, but I can never be bothered to do this. It just depends how you like it I guess!
