Can you boil water on the stove and put it in a coffee maker?!

Question:

Can you boil water on the stove and put it in a coffee maker?

The water in my coffee maker doesn't get too hot. It's ok, but it can be better. I was wondering.... Can I boil water on my stove and pour it into my coffee maker? Will it destroy any parts of my coffee maker? Will the water be too and melt anything? Any and all answers would be greatly appreciated...

wont she burn?

no, that should be fine. where you pour the cold water in is where it gets heated so I highly doubt it'll do it any harm to poor hot water in straight

I guess you could do that, but wouldn't it be easier to just get a new coffee maker....

I was always told when you make tea or coffee you should start with cold water.

Most coffee makers use cold water. They don't work when you pour hot water into them. Your best bet is to buy a new coffee maker.

Putting hot water into your coffee maker would do damage to its working parts. Sounds like your heating element has reached the end of its useful life and it would be best to purchase a new coffee maker.

eliminate one step ditch the coffee maker and get a jar of instant coffe "just add boiling water" i drink both, when it's just me i make a good cup of instant get to make just enough for me :)
might also just need a different plug might not be getting enough power to heat up totally or just get a new perker espicially if it's been used alot they are'nt made to last forever and need to be replaced every 1000 pots (give or take)

hi dear, I have infact done that before and it works just fine... and not everyone has the money to just go out and buy a new coffee maker so we do what we can with what we got. lol worked fine for me....

Well yes u can boil your water on top of the stove b-cuz my grandma does it all da tyme.

Yes you can but why not zap it in the microwave for 30 seconds. I always do this because coffeemakers just don't get coffee hot enough for me.

You probably could . If your going to go throough all that trouble though I would either buy a new coffee machine or go invest in a french press . I know Gevalia has a program on if you join there coffee club the send you a free coffee pot . I have one and it works awsome and even reheats the coffee too . There coffee itself tastes awsome to . I also know you can pick up a french press around $10.00 at target or walmart . It is your call .

Here is the website for gevalia though .
