At a guess I'd say Ginger Beer.
Cream soda in the uk is clear, whereas in the us it's brown but it tastes the same, so I assume good ole ginger beer is the stuff you're looking for

May I suggest You stick to nice safe organic scrumpy Cider.

You can a similar drink with 7-up, a splash of coke, and Angostura bitters.
