Yes, didnt you watch myth busters??? They did a whole show on that and it really worked. With some modifications they got it to spew up over 30 feet.

yeah i tried it. its not that great though. it lasted for like a secound or two and just shoots in the air about 2 or 3 feet.

Not necessarily... the rapid release of carbon dioxide can become explosive, but only if you confine its volume. If you dump Mentos into a diet coke bottle and quickly seal the cap it will explode and make a huge sticky mess, and perhaps blow one of your fingers off in the process, so remember if you decide to experiment, use some common sense and safety glasses would be a good idea too. Imagine what it would be like to have plastic shrapnel fly into your eye at the speed of sound.

Yes: open cap on diet coke, add mentos to a UN shaken bottle of coke, place cap back on, not screwed on and it will explode because the acid in the mento reacts with the acid in the coke with is carbon dioxide. Be careful it could hurt if it hits you
yes, they do, but if you really want to to work, use diet coke and mint mentos.
Yes. My little sister's friend did that experiment where they put the mento in the coke bottle and took pictures of the explosion, and copied them, and my sister brought one home and i saw the picture. i really does explode!
